The 1993 Allante is an important vehicle to Cadillac for the convertible market segment. The Indianapolis 500 Pace Car is a member of a series of three trim levels for the Allante which include Base, Indianapolis 500 Pace Car, and Value Leader. The two-door car with its front-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Cadillac. There is strong competition from vehicles from Acura.
