When you think of the “Chevrolet Corvette” what will usually come to mind for Chevrolet enthusiasts is quality, stability and lots of history. The Corvette has been one of the premier vehicles of the Chevrolet line for over ten years. It is an important car and the 2008 model is no exception. The Chevrolet Corvette falls into the convertible for the family category.

Standard equipment in the Corvette for 2007 and 2008 includes the 6.2 liter engine by General Motors, weighing in at 8 cylinders and sixteen valves. A 6-speed Automatic Transmission puts the power of the engine to the pavement. The has proven to be a popular configuration for the Corvette.

The fuel system for the 2008 Corvette is a SFI system, running on gasoline . The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Corvette comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses leaf front springs and leaf in the rear.

The vehicle is available in Atomic Orange Metallic, Black, Jetstream Blue Metallic, Machine Silver Metallic, Velocity Yellow Tintcoat, and Victory Red.

A powertrain guarantee is provided (100,000 miles/60 months), and a 36,000 mile, 36 month guarantee also comes with the Chevrolet Corvette. This is average compared to the rest of the car market.
