The 2009 Cadillac XLR V was introduced to compete in the convertible market. The V is a member of a series of two trim levels for the XLR which include V and Platinum. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Cadillac. There is strong competition from vehicles from Honda.
