The 2004 Ferrari 456 M GTA Base was introduced to compete in the coupe market. The Base is a member of a series of one trim levels for the 456 M GTA which include Base. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Ferrari. There is strong competition from vehicles from Honda.

Ferrari 456 M GTA Engine Specs

The 456 M GTA Base is equipped with a Ferrari 5.5 liter twelve -cylinder engine that utilizes 48 valves. The engine is mated to a Ferrari 4-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Ferrari.

The 2003 model began the promise of the Ferrari 456 M GTA. The 2004 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Ferrari hopes that the 456 M GTA Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
