Our Review of the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Base

In 2009 Chevrolet released the Corvette Base to the car-buying market. The Corvette came in three configurations: Base, Z06, and ZR1. The Base configuration is powered by the 6.2-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The Corvette competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Toyota.
Performance
The Corvette Base is equipped with a General Motors 6.2 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The engine is mated to a Tremec 6-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.
